If you want to find paradise, travel southeast of the Bahamas and you will find Turks and Caicos. This is known as a vacation land for the rich and famous, but that’s only because most Americans travel to Turks & Caicos for the week, which leads to a higher cost. The only reason many people travel for an entire week is because they can find a discount on a hotel if they stay longer. This, in turn, is why you should look online for any turks and caicos house rentals instead.
With a house rental in Turks and Caicos, you will likely have your own elevated infinity pool with views of the sea, and outdoor kitchen and living room for alfresco dining, and an open-air and modern home for comfort. It’s almost like living in a commercial where you see people dressed in white and walking around the home without a care in the world. This is actually what Turks and Caicos can do to you. It has a powerful impact, and it’s something that will stay with you the rest of your life—in a good way.
When you’re not at your house rental, you will find plenty to do. Of course, you could just go to the beach or go shopping, but you can do that on any island. Turks and Caicos is different for several reasons. One, Grand Turk has a famous underwater wall for scuba diving. You will also find a 14-mile barrier reef. There aren’t many places in the world where you will find so many bright underwater colors. If you don’t like to scuba, or the doctor advises that you don’t scuba, you can still snorkel and experience the underwater world Turks and Caicos has to offer. It’s highly recommended that you check out Smith’s Reef and Bright Reef.
On the north side of Grand Turk Island, you will find the Grand Turk Lighthouse, Bermuda-style buildings, and the Turks and Caicos National Museum. If you’re patient and quiet, you might also see wild horses and donkeys walking through the shallow waters. That fact alone should make Turks and Caicos more appealing than anywhere else in the world, simply because you won’t find that anywhere else on the planet.
If you visit the south side of the island, you will have an opportunity to enjoy Governor’s Beach, which is home to many high-end restaurants and stores. The island food, sea views, and gentle breeze make for a memorable dining experience at restaurants found here.
If you travel to the west side of the island, you will find yourself in the very spot Christopher Columbus first came upon the New World. There is a Columbus Landfall National Marine Park. This is a quiet area of the island that’s better suited for those interested in history. There is a beach, but it doesn’t compare to the other beaches on the island.
If you choose to travel here, the best time of year is December through April. If you visit August through December, you might get rained on. If you visit June through November, you might find yourself in a hurricane. But if you want to see humpback whales swimming off the coast, visit in January through March.
